Personal Project - logo and packaging design

This was a personal project. I started brewing beer with 3 buddies and thought it would be fun to create some labels for our beer. To do that we needed a logo. I figured I might as well create the basics of an identity with a color palette, carrier, and some graphics for the bands and caps. The name, 4 brewing, refers to not the fact that there are 4 of us, but also to the 4 basic ingredients of beer (malted grain, hops, yeast, and water). I've included some of my sketches and early Illustrator mockups.
